hazel accepts only finished pieces for upcoming issues of hazel and our blog. Please see below regarding the themes and deadlines of upcoming issues to see if your piece would be a good fit.

Missed an opportunity because of COVID-19? Send us an awesome story you wrote for class, or a poem about the new world that we suddenly find ourselves in.

Deadlines:

Short stories, poems, essays due June 30, 2020

Submissions for blogs are accepted on a rolling basis.

• Let us know if you’re submitting the piece to other publications.
• Poems should take up no more than two full pages.
• Short stories and essays should be no more than 1500 words.
